The Emperor of Austria Ferdinand III donates 300
fields with one of the most fertile soils to officer
Locatello Locatelli for merits gained during battle
in the Thirty-Year War.
The Angoris adventure
starts from those “300 fields”.
The entire history of the estate was already deep-rooted
in those one thousand hectares. There was the
vineyard that gave off a sweet smell, “the
best places on the hills” and there was
the vineyard that assured the structure, on the
plain, “the most useful, the most fertile,
the most fruitful”.
Over three centuries have passed and the Tenuta
Angoris, one of the most prestigious Friulian
wineries from time immemorial, is today managed
with renewed enthusiasm and the entrepreneurial
spirit of the Locatelli
family.
