The signature varietal from the region – what the local drink. In Friuli we call a glass of Friulano “tajut”.

Color

Straw yellow with slight golden hues.

Nose

Wildflowers dominate the nose like they dominate on a spring mountain pasture;  some richness of almond and honeysuckle combine with some vegetal geranium leaf and hay aromas.

Palate

Smooth; dry and medium bodied; well-balanced; characteristic bitter almond finish.

Serving suggestion

Drink it on its own (“tajut”) like we do in Friuli; light soups, canapés; prosciutto di San Daniele.

Suggested serving temperatures

8 – 9° C.

    This evening we drank our first bottle of Friulano 2013 in combination with big portobello funghi filled with fish; an oriental preparation of salmon and a fresh cod macerated with fresh garden herbs. The two of us were delighted. The mineral and slightly bitter aftertaste offered a unique combination which enticed both of us. We sure are getting curious to taste your other “specialities”!
